Ricciardo under investigation for potentially illegal MGU-K during qualifying

Renault star Daniel Ricciardo could be facing a grid penalty for the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, as the FIA announced they're investigating whether the energy flow in the Aussie's RS19 breached technical rules. The seven-time Grand Prix winner originally qualified in eighth but could be set back dramatically, RaceFans.net report. His MGU-K, the component that harvests energy under braking and converts it to extra power for the car, was allegedly exceeding the 120 kiloWatt limit that the FIA has set for any car.
