Renault blame kerbs for D-Ric's ‘microsecond' advantage

Renault have blamed the Singapore kerbs for Daniel Ricciardo's qualifying DSQ, saying he gained all of 'one-microsecond' when his MGU-K over revved. Ricciardo put his RS19 up onto eighth place on the Singapore grid. However, hours after qualifying, he was disqualified as he had 'exceeded the MGU-K power limit of 120kW'. The stewards' statement added: 'In coming to this decision the Stewards referred to longstanding precedents regarding technical infringements and the penalty which has been consistently applied is disqualification, and which does not consider when or if an advantage was gained.
