FIA ratifies Formula 1's record 22-event 2020 calendar

Next year’s 22-round Formula 1 calendar has been officially ratified by the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council on Friday. The WMSC, which meets four times per year, gathered in Cologne for Friday’s meeting, and rubber-stamped the record-breaking schedule, which was publicly released in August. The season will begin in Australia in mid-March and conclude in Abu Dhabi at the end of November. Vietnam joins the calendar as the third round, in early April, with the Netherlands returning at Zandvoort after a 35-year absence.
