Gasly admits that he's 'very happy' with his performance in Japan
Pierre Gasly recorded an eighth-place finish at the Japanese Grand Prix and the Frenchman has been looking back at how his race weekend went in Suzaka. The result means the Toro Rosso driver ends the weekend in the seventh position in the drivers' standings. Gasly qualified in 9th earlier in the day in the rescheduled qualifying and admitted that he was surprised by this given the lack of preparation for the session. "I’m very happy with today! It started well this morning as I made it to Q3 and qualified ninth.
