Perez left disappointed with his finish to the race

Racing Point driver Sergio Perez admitted that he was disappointed with the way his race ended in Japan, despite recording a top ten finish and being in the points. His teammate Lance Stroll came through in P11 and was just outside of the points. "There was confusion at the end because the chequered flag came out a lap early, so when I was taken out by Gasly the race had already finished, "Perez said in Racing Point's post-race review.
