BMW cautious despite topping test times

BMW i Andretti Motorsport's Roger Griffiths has played down the significance of topping the timing screens in preseason testing. BMW newcomer Maximilian Guenther set the pace on the final day of Formula E's preseason testing in Valencia, with the German driver setting a 1:15.087 on the modified Ricardo Tormo Circuit to head Mahindra's Pascal Wehrlein by just one tenth of a second. Despite the strong one-lap pace demonstrated by the team, team principal Griffiths dismissed the importance of testing times, citing their inability to convert their pace into more success last season.
