Pierre Gasly: 80 percent of the potential was shown at Red Bull Racing

Toro Rosso driver Pierre Gasly believes he showed just "80 percent" of his potential whilst driving for Red Bull Racing during the first half of the 2019 season. Gasly was promoted at the start of the season from Toro Rosso following his impressive 2018 season, dominating Brendon Hartley for the Red Bull junior squad. However, things didn't work out at Red Bull. The French driver was up against Max Verstappen and was completely dominated by a resurgent Dutchman during the first part of the campaign, and Red Bull lost their patience with him and demoted him back to Toro Rosso.
