Robert Kubica edging towards DTM role, eyes F1 reserve slot

Robert Kubica is poised to make a switch to DTM in 2020, after his impending Williams exit, and is attempting to land a Formula 1 reserve role to run in conjunction. Kubica returned to Formula 1 with Williams in 2019 but announced in September that he will not stay at the team into 2020, relinquishing his place on the grid. The Pole has regularly expressed his desire to capture a 2020 race seat in another category and on Thursday commented: “I'm looking for a big challenge, and definitely DTM, which is the [series which has the] highest probability that I will be racing in, it's probably the toughest championship apart of Formula 1 in Europe.
