FIA confirms Toro Rosso's name change to Alpha Tauri

The FIA has confirmed that Toro Rosso will change its name to Alpha Tauri for the 2020 season, with next year’s provisional entry list released on Saturday. The squad has competed in Formula 1 since the mid-1980s, initially as Minardi, before changing its name to Toro Rosso after its acquisition by Red Bull in 2005. The change had been widely expected but it was officially confirmed on Saturday with the publication of the 2020 entry list. Neither Alpha Tauri driver, nor the second Williams driver, are entered on the list but the teams have already confirmed their line-ups, with Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat staying, and Nicholas Latifi stepping up to a race seat at Williams.
