‘Kubica leaning towards Racing Point deal'

Robert Kubica is reportedly set to snub Haas, opting instead to sign as Racing Point's reserve driver for the 2020 F1 season. Declaring he won't be a Williams driver next season after a disappointing first year back on the Formula 1 grid, Kubica went in search of a new job. Haas and Racing Point put up their hands. Both teams are keen on signing the Polish driver as their reserve man with Haas believed to have been leading the running, at least until now. Although Haas team boss Gueuther Steiner made it clear he was willing to give Kubica practice outings in order to sweeten the deal, RACER is reporting that the 34-year-old is set to be tempted by Racing Point.
