Watch F1 2019: Best of the rest battle visualised in statistic graphics

While the Formula 1 world championship was decided with a few races remaining, the 'best of the rest' battle went right through to the finale of the 2019 F1 season. Carlos Sainz came out on top, just beating Pierre Gasly as a result of some last-minute overtakes in Abu Dhabi.  This video shows the number of championship points scored by each driver from the midfield. The graphic highlights the number of changes throughout the season. Kimi Raikkonen was leading the way until the Spanish Grand Prix.
