Mercedes set to pay record entry fees to race in Formula 1 in 2020

Mercedes are set to pay a record-high registration fee for the 2020 Formula 1 season. By winning their sixth consecutive driver's and constructor's world champions, the German teams' fees to race have increased dramatically.  Mercedes scored a total of 739 points during the 2019 season which is the team's second-best total score after the 765 record points accumulated in 2016. In order to be allowed to race in Formula 1, teams are required to pay an entry fee.
