Red Bull set to bid for F1 TV rights in Austria

Red Bull are set to go head-to-head with ORF in a battle to claim Formula 1 television rights in Austria from 2021, according to reports. Public service broadcaster, ORF, currently has an agreement in place until the end of the 2020 season in a deal worth 10 million (US$ 10.8 million) per year. But, Red Bull, according to reports in their home country, are preparing to rival ORF and try to bring Formula 1 broadcasts to their free-to-air channel Servus TV. Servus TV already broadcasts the MotoGP series in Austria and Germany, and recently drew its highest ever audience in Austria of 738,000 viewers when broadcasting Dominic Thiem’s defeat to Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final....
