Carlos Sainz is pretty upbeat with how testing has gone for McLaren, with the pace of the MCL35 shocking the team in a good way. McLaren are defending their ‘best of the rest' crown in 2020 and, at first glance, appear to have Renault and Racing Point as their immediate rivals. One lap in particular on the medium C3 tyre in the final morning session caught Sainz's eye and he also reported that there is widespread improvement with their 2020 challenger compared to its predecessor.
