Mercedes star Valtteri Bottas is not yet counting out rivals Ferrari from the title race despite their poor showing in pre-season testing in Barcelona, with the Finn comparing it to 2019 when Mercedes themselves were subpar in pre-season but eventually won a double championship. It was an unfamiliar sight, seeing Ferrari not being the pacesetters at pre-season testing. The Italian works team had been the quickest at the Circuit de Catalunya for four straight years, although Mercedes would end up running away with the double championships in all of those years as the Silver Arrows now have six consecutive double titles.
