Claire Williams expects Russell to become World Champion one day
George Russell has shown a lot of maturity during a tough spell at Williams. Despite failing to score a single point in his debut F1 season, he gained plenty of plaudits and none more so than Claire Williams. Russell arrived at Williams having been crowned Formula 2 champion in 2018 and partnered Robert Kubica as the constructor looked to combine youth with experience. However, it was a challenging season as the team regularly lagged behind the field way off the pace. Russell will lead Williams this season alongside Nicholas Latifi.
