McLaren’s Carlos Sainz Jr. has revealed that he has tested negative for the COVID-19 coronavirus but will continue to remain quarantined as a precaution. A member of McLaren’s race team tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday night, prompting the squad’s withdrawal from the Australian Grand Prix, leading to the event’s cancellation. McLaren subsequently revealed that a further 14 team members had been quarantined at its hotel in Melbourne. Its team member who tested positive has since recovered from the symptoms.
