Marko about 'risk group' coronavirus: 'Of course I take everything very seriously'
Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko belongs to one of the 'risk groups' for the coronavirus because of his age. The virus is relatively lethal for casualties over 70 years of age, and the Austrian is now 76. He says he takes the situation very seriously. COVID-19 seems more dangerous for older people. For victims under 50, the mortality rate is around 0.3 percent, but for people between 70 and 79 it is around 8.0 percent. Now that the Formula 1 season has been paused for the time being, Marko does not have to travel and runs less risk of infection, but the Austrian remains alert with his daily actions.
