Doornbos: 'He almost ran the team as a military operation'

Robert Doornbos drove a total of eleven Formula 1 races in 2005 and 2006. In 2006 he was appointed by his old Formula 3000 team boss Christian Horner as a reserve driver of Red Bull Racing. Formula 3000 "He was my team boss in 2004 in Formula 3000, which is now Formula 2", says Doornbos to Motorsport.com. "Christian led the team in a very good way and was very different from the other team bosses I had worked for." According to the Dutchman, Horner has a good eye for detail, because the team he drove for actually always had the upper hand. This while all cars were identical in that class.
