From 2021 onwards there will be a budget ceiling in Formula 1. The plan was already several years in concept phase, but now it is really official that from next season there will be a maximum amount that can be spent. For teams like Mercedes and Red Bull Racing the budget ceiling seems negative, but according to team boss Christian Horner there are not many drawbacks to the new rule.
