Mercedes is going to test DAS system this weekend; Red Bull wants statement FIA

Mercedes confirmed Friday morning that it will be driving with the DAS system during the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. Red Bull Racing responded immediately that they do not agree with this. The team of Max Verstappen demands a statement from the FIA. Thanks to DAS (Dual-Axis Steering), Mercedes is able to change the position of the tyres, which allegedly allows them to warm up faster. There are also rumours that the concept allows for a higher top speed on the straights. Exactly how much profit the DAS system delivers is not yet known.
