Red Bull must hope for Honda; Mercedes half second faster on straights
According to an analysis of the official Formula 1 channels, Red Bull Racing not only has a backlog to clear in the fast laps, but also in the longruns. Based on Friday's results, the Austrian race stable seems to have to close a gap of around five tenths if it is to claim victory in the Red Bull Ring. Mercedes is superior at the start of the 2020 season. The German race team scored a one-two in the first and second free practice session and with that they seem to be the team to beat, in both qualifying and the race.
