Perez: "Sixth place is a good start, but we could have gone for the podium"

For Racing Point, the first GP weekend of 2020 did not quite go as expected. With a sixth place for Sergio Perez the race was still reasonable, but direct competitor McLaren gained much more points for the constructors' championship with a third and fifth place. Both drivers of Racing Point therefore see that they have missed a chance of a good classification. "We had to fight a lot today. Sixth place is a good start, but a better position would have been possible. We came out unhappy with the safety cars, but it's too easy to say afterwards that we should have stopped for new tyres", Perez looks back in a press release from the team.
