Perez went back to Mexico to visit mother in hospital between F1 races

Racing Point Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez has revealed he returned to Mexico for two days after the Hungarian Grand Prix to visit his mother, who had been recovering in hospital following “a big accident”. Check out the Crash F1 YouTube channel - CLICK HERE Perez was the first F1 driver to test positive for COVID-19 on Thursday and has subsequently been ruled out of this weekend’s British Grand Prix, as well as the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix at Silverstone next week. He is set to be replaced at Racing Point by ex-Renault driver Nico Hulkenberg.
