Full result FP2: Mercedes comfortably on top, Verstappen eight tenths behind

Mercedes was also the dominant team during the second free practice session ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix. The German team again set the fastest time and a Mercedes is also in second place. Lewis Hamilton eventually took first place, followed by Valtteri Bottas. Behind that is Max Verstappen in P3, which he himself also expected prior to the second free practice. Daniel Ricciardo is behind Verstappen with a good fourth place. Behind that, Romain Grosjean gives us a surprise with P5 showing that there is speed in Haas's car.
