Stroll pledges donation in efforts to tackle California fires
Racing Point driver Lance Stroll will donate $1,800 to the LA Fire Department for each point he scores at Formula 1’s Belgian Grand Prix, as fires ravish California. Massive wildfires have broken out in California in recent weeks, with US President Donald Trump declaring the situation a major disaster. Over a hundred thousand people are under evacuation orders while the fires are believed to have been responsible for at least seven fatalities in the state. Stroll, who races with the number 18 in Formula 1, will donate $1,800 per point scored at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend, and is also making an additional donation.
