Verstappen with new geabox for Monza – sporting news

Max Verstappen started his Italian Grand Prix weekend with a new gearbox while Daniel Ricciardo has been given a fresh internal combustion engine for the Temple of Speed. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Racing Point’s Lance Stroll will complete the Italian Grand Prix with a fresh gearbox. As per the Sporting Regulation, both drivers are allowed to use a new unit after they completed the previous six races with the same gearbox. Alfa Romeo gave Antonio Giovinazzi a new gearbox after the Italian did not finish the last race in Spa-Francorchamps which made the change possible without triggering a penalty.
