Hamilton extends record with win at 27th different circuit

Lewis Hamilton extended his record of number of Formula 1 victories at different circuits after his victory at Mugello’s Tuscan Grand Prix. Mugello joined Formula 1’s calendar for the first time last weekend as part of the revised schedule in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Hamilton claimed pole position and victory at the 59-lap race which was twice halted due to several accidents. In taking the win, the 90th of his career, Hamilton tasted success at a 27th different circuit in Formula 1, extending his own record over Michael Schumacher, who triumphed at 23 venues.
