Max Verstappen expects “tight” fight with Renault F1 for P3 in Sochi
Max Verstappen says he's braced for a “tight” fight in Formula 1 qualifying for third place on the grid for the Russian Grand Prix after struggling for pace in Friday practice. Check out the Crash F1 YouTube channel - CLICK HERE
Red Bull has never scored a podium at the Sochi Autodrom and its struggles continued in both practice sessions. Verstappen was only seventh in FP2, 1.5s down on Valtteri Bottas, while Alexander Albon could only manage 12th. On the other hand, Renault continued its strong impressive form as Daniel Ricciardo ended the day in third behind the two Mercedes.
