Daniil Kvyat has sent a reminder to the Red Bull decision-makers about his talent after a strong showing in his home event, the Russian Grand Prix. The 26-year-old from Ufa has spent his seven years in F1 pinballing between the Toro Rosso/AlphaTauri and Red Bull teams and being without a drive altogether, which was the case in 2018. The latter scenario is in danger of occurring again, with the Russian’s drive at AlphaTauri reported to be under threat as Red Bull look to promote Japanese F2 racer Yuki Tsunoda from their development programme – which would help relations with their engine supplier Honda.
