From a coffee in Cologne to P8 at the Ring!

By his own admittance, Nico Hulkenberg wondered "what the f*** happened?" this weekend after his mad dash run into the points in the Eifel GP. Formula 1's super-sub began his Saturday with a cup of coffee with a friend in Cologne, only to find himself a few hours later at the Nürburgring strapped onboard an F1 car for qualifying following Lance Stroll's last-minute withdrawal due to illness. With just ten laps under his belt, Hulkenberg lined up dead last on Sunday's grid, but a solid drive delivered a remarkable P8 finish and a handful of points that allowed Racing Point to snatch third from McLaren in the Constructors' standings.
