Drivers on renovation of Spa: 'Hope they don't spend 80 million on gravel'

Spa-Francorchamps will be extensively rebuilt in the coming years. The circuit in the Ardennes will have new gravel pits at a number of important places where asphalt is still present. There will also be a brand new grandstand at Eau Rouge and Radillon. The drivers are happy with the arrival of the gravel pits. After the successful races at Mugello and the Nurburgring, the drivers generally see this as good changes, but Spa is not only doing it for Formula 1. The circuit also hopes to get a FIM licence to bring MotoGP to Belgium.
