Perez escapes losing some points, but has to be careful of grid penalty

Sergio Perez defended rather fiercely against Pierre Gasly in the Portuguese Grand Prix, and that has reprimanded him. For the Racing Point driver that means the second official warning in as many days. During qualifying, the Mexican also hindered his rival Gasly. The 30-year old driver tried to hold on to his fifth place in Portimao in the final phase, but he was out of line. In the end it didn't work out for him and he finished seventh, after Carlos Sainz also passed. Somewhere Perez is lucky that he didn't get a time penalty (of, say, five seconds) on his trousers, because that would have cost him World Championship points.
