Update | Perez takes into account a year away: 'That's plan B'
Over the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend, Sergio Perez announced that he will host a press conference on Monday evening. Presumably, he will bring news about his future in Formula 1, as he does not yet have a contract for 2021. Update | 6:30 PM It seems that Perez is mainly holding a question time with his fans to keep them informed of the latest developments. He is of course immediately asked about his future in Formula 1 and a possible contract with Red Bull. He cannot confirm anything about that yet, but he does report that if he does not come out with Red Bull, a sabbatical is his second option.
