The candidates to replace Hamilton for the Sakhir GP
Lewis Hamilton The news of Lewis Hamilton’s positive COVID-19 test has thrown the Formula 1 paddock into action, with Mercedes looking to decide on a replacement for this weekend’s Sakhir Grand Prix Hamilton has been forced out of this weekend’s event in Bahrain after he presented with mild symptoms, with his team left looking into options to step in for the world champion. The 35-year-old will isolate for 10 days, forcing Hamilton into a race against time to be available for next weekend's season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. A logical replacement choice is the team’s reserve driver, Stoffel Vandoorne, who flew to Bahrain following this week’s Formula E test at Valencia. The...
