Brundle: Alonso is way better than a two-time world champion

Martin Brundle believes that Fernando Alonso is 'way better' than the two Formula 1 world championships he has won during his career. Alonso won his titles in 2005 and 2006 with Renault and returns to the Enstone-based outfit for a third stint in 2021. The Spaniard came very close to adding another title in 2007, 2010 and 2012, but saw his efforts frustrated on each occasion. Back in F1 for the first time since 2018, Alonso will be hoping to help the newly rebadged Alpine team build on a promising 2020 campaign where they picked up three podium finishes.
