Hamilton to sign new Mercedes deal over next few days - Jordan

Lewis Hamilton will sign a new deal with Mercedes before the end of the month. That is the view of former Formula 1 team boss Eddie Jordan who is in no doubt the 36-year-old will resolve his ongoing contract wrangle with the team over the coming days. Article continues under video Mercedes motorsport boss Toto Wolff has revealed that "curveballs" in negotiations are being thrown by the team and its star driver that is taxing the lawyers and has resulted in delays. But Jordan is convinced the talks are now reaching a conclusion. "I believe Lewis will be signed within a week. I cannot see it going into February," he told PA Media.
