He drove Formula 1 for many years, was the crown prince for a while, but a terrible rally accident in which he shattered his arm brought an end to his world championship ambitions. Robert Kubica drove another year with Williams in 2019 and will now drive in the European Le Mans series. The Pole left Formula 1 permanently two years ago in search of something else. Last year he started as a reserve driver for Alfa Romeo and drove during the test days in December. He will fulfil that role again this year.
