Allison: We will walk a development tightrope in 2021

Mercedes technical director James Allison has revealed that the team will have to walk a tightrope between focusing on the 2021 Formula 1 season and developing their car for 2022. The sport introduces a new set of sporting regulations next season which all the teams are currently working towards, meaning there is a fine balance to strike in terms of focus. With F1 changing the regulations relating to the floor ahead of this season, the team's have also been working hard over the off-season in an attempt to regain the lost downforce, while they have also had to adapt to components being frozen and the new development token system.
