Leclerc underlies Ferrari progress on unfavourable track

Article To news overview © Ferrari Charles Leclerc was pleased with Ferrari's start to the season, pointing out the car is better compared to 2020 given the Bahrain International Circuit isn't a favourable track for the Scuderia. The Monegasque driver started from fourth spot, but in the end he couldn't keep Lando Norris and Sergio Perez at bay and thus settled for a sixth place finish. Leclerc was pleased with the result nonetheless. "I had a good start and then I was able to manage the tyres pretty well," Leclerc told Sky Sport Italia after the race.
