Bahrain GP thriller delivers record ratings for SKY and N

Formula 1's thrilling opening season round in Bahrain captivated audiences on both sides of the Atlantic on Sunday. The riveting showdown between Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull's Max Verstappen produced an average viewership of 1.98 million for SKY which broadcasts exclusively in the UK and in Ireland. At its peak, Sunday's race drew an audience of 2.23 million viewers. The figures represent the highest ratings ever recorded by SKY since the British pay-TV broadcaster acquired the rights to Formula 1 in 2012.
