Mercedes explain reason for Bottas' slow stop

Valtteri Bottas suffered a slow pit-stop on Lap 31 at the Bahrain Grand Prix, and Mercedes have put it down to an error with the wheel gun. The Finn was already well behind the fierce battle at the front between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, but his chances of being in with a shout were not helped when he sat stationary in the pits for 10.9s. Compare that with Red Bull's stop of just 1.9s with Verstappen, that cost Bottas valuable time, and Mercedes technical director James Allison has explained exactly what happened.
