Technical director F1 quits: 'Proud to have been part of it'

F1's technical director Andrew James is stepping down at the end of the month after a 25-year tenure. He played a non-negligible role in many of the processes and technical systems that ensured Formula One could be broadcast in its own unique way. Broadcasting James helped build the ultra-modern broadcast center, where he had quite a few problems that waited solving. He also oversaw the relocation of Suzuka's media and technology center. This was necessary as a typhoon raged through Japan in 2019, seriously threatening the organisation of the F1 event.
