Aston Martin backs down: No problems with FIA regulations after all

While the brand new Aston Martin objected to the recent aerodynamic modifications prior to the Grand Prix at Imola, believing that it unfairly disadvantaged the low-rake design Formula 1 cars, the team is now changing its mind. Team principal Otmar Szafnauer explains. Speaking to journalists, Szafnauer explains how the FIA has entered into discussions with Aston Martin about the concerns expressed, and that this has restored the team's confidence. “I think we’re, at this point, pretty satisfied that all the correct steps were followed”, says Szafnauer about the introduction of the new aero rules, as quoted by The Race.
