'Verstappen's results justify Sainz's departure'

Current Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz had to leave Toro Rosso in 2017, but Helmut Marko has revealed that he had no regrets about this decision in an interview with Formel 1. In 2015, Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz made their Formula One debut together with junior team Toro Rosso, now known as Alpha Tauri. A year later, Verstappen made the switch to Red Bull Racing during the season, where he immediately won the Spanish Grand Prix. Red Bull loaned Sainz to Renault in 2017, but he did not return. Verstappen and Sainz at Toro Rosso "We were very strong back then," the Red Bull advisor says about the former Toro Rosso driver duo. "But in Max we saw a better driver."...
