Correa rewarded for miraculous comeback: Sauber pick up talent

Juan Manuel Correa has been accepted into Sauber's Driver Development Program. The driver, who suffered serious injuries in the tragic Formula 2 race in Belgium, has recovered and will now be supported by Sauber in his Formula 3 campaign. Correa was developing strongly as a driver in 2019. The Ecuadorian drove for the Sauber Junior Team by Charouz, and already had two podium finishes to his name. However, the driver was involved in Anthoine Hubert's crash in Belgium. Correa entered a long rehabilitation process and stepped back into a formula car in 2021 for the first time since his crash.
