FIA F1 race director issues apology to the drivers

Article To news overview © Formula 1 Michael Masi, who serves as the FIA race director for all the Formula 1 Grand Prix has issued an apology to all the drivers for neutralizing the Azerbaijan Grand Prix much slower than was necessary after Max Verstappen's crash. According to Auto Motor und Sport, Masi waited a minute and a half after the incident before finally signalling for the Safety Car to be deployed. His slow reaction was something he brought to notice during the driver briefing in Paul Ricard before ultimately apologizing for his tardiness.
