Guanyu Zhou to make Formula 1 practice debut with Alpine at Spielberg

Just days ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix , Alpine F1 Team has announced that Guanyu Zhou will participate in his first-ever Formula 1 practice session at the Red Bull Ring this weekend. Zhou is currently competing in the FIA Formula 2 championship which is his third season in Formula One’s main support series. After the opening three race weekends, the Chinese driver lead the Drivers’ Standings, sitting on 78 points with five more race weekends awaiting the field. The Shanghai-born driver has been the Test Driver for the team and Alpine Academy member since 2019.
