Capito: Sprint races are a very good move for F1

Article To news overview © Williams Williams CEO and team principal Jost Capito feels that F1 needed to change its format which is why he is fully backing the sprint format. At the British Grand Prix, Italian GP and one other event outside Europe, there will be a 100km sprint race on Saturday with the traditional knockout qualifying on Friday evening. There will be no mandatory pit stop and the normal Sunday afternoon race will remain. "Everybody who knows me knows that I am always willing for changes," Capito told RacingNews365.com and other select members of the press. "Doing something new and trying something new.
