Mercedes Have Decided To Sign Russell, But Don’t Expect An Announcement Anytime Soon

The Mercedes F1 Team has decided to drop Valtteri Bottas and replace him with George Russell, but the move won’t be announced until much later in the season, according to Finnish racing driver Toni Vilander. Russell is currently into his third season in Formula 1 with Williams, and many in the paddock believe he will join Mercedes in 2022, with Bottas potentially returning to his former team to take the young Brit’s seat.
